Boy’s and Girl’s Soccer

With a Prep League record of 7-1-1, the girls’ soccer team eased their way into the CIF-SS Division III playoffs.

“We are really proud at how well we did and how hard the team worked, and we’re really excited to see what we can do in playoffs,” said senior Liz Haile, co-captain of the girls’ soccer team.

The girls play Thursday at home against Los Altos High in a first-round matchup.

The boys’ soccer team earned their spot in the CIF-SS Division VI playoffs with 4-3-1 record in the Prep League. The team ended the season on a strong note, winning four of their last five games. In the first round, the boys will play at South Pasadena High.

Boy’s Basketball

After a buzzer-beating 61-59 victory over Pasadena Poly, the boys’ basketball finished first in the Prep League with a stellar 7-1 record. This was their first league title in many years.

The boys played Sherman Indian School on Wednesday night at Chadwick in the first round of CIF Division 5AA.

“I am really proud of our accomplishment this year of coming in first in league and working hard as a team. I am really looking forward to the playoffs and winning,” said senior Alec Foster, co-captain of the team.

Girl’s Water Polo

Chadwick girls’ water polo finished its season strong, only one point away from having the chance to advance to the next round of playoffs. The girls finished 6-7, tied for fourth in the Prep League.

The girls played Pasadena La Salle High Feb. 13 to determine who would go on to play in the CIF Division VI playoffs, and won a thriller, 8-6. In the first round Tuesday night, the girls lost to Morro Bay High in Santa Maria, 10-9. Down 10-7, they came fighting back in the last quarter.

“We worked really hard as a team. It was a great season, we had a lot of fun with Coach Rob [Robert Lynn]. He taught us a lot. We had a lot of fun bonding as a team on the eight-hour bus ride,” co-captain Rachael Chait said.
